Therapy for Individuals

The goal of individual therapy is to improve mental health and enhance overall well-being through the exploration of thoughts, emotions, behaviours, as well as past and present challenges, within a secure and confidential environment. During individual therapy sessions, you and your therapist engage in open and transparent dialogue, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions. Our aim is to help you gain insight, develop coping skills, and address your specific concerns. Your therapist will provide personalized support, guidance, and feedback tailored to your unique needs and goals. Individual therapy can be either short-term or long-term, depending on the nature of your concerns and your treatment objectives. Therapy for individuals can provide support with concerns such as: anxiety, chronic illness or pain, depression, emotion regulation, grief and loss, low self-worth or self-esteem, relationship challenges, trauma processing and workplace issues.

Therapy for Trauma

Trauma can deeply affect us, leaving imprints on both our mental and physical well-being that can alter our everyday experiences. With evidence-based approaches to trauma processing and recovery, individuals can embark on a journey towards healing and self-discovery. Our trauma-informed therapies compassionately navigate individuals through their lived experiences, setting the foundation for a renewed sense of freedom. Therapy for Therapy for Trauma can provide support with concerns such as: certain forms of anxiety and depression, guilt and shame, low self-worth, negative core beliefs, repeated triggered experiences, PTSD and CPTSD, relational and attachment trauma.

Virtual Services

Pivot with Purpose Therapy offers virtual psychotherapy and counselling services only (video and phone). These options offer flexibility in scheduling, ensuring that your care fits seamlessly into your life. The telehealth platform we use adheres to strict regulations, safeguarding your sensitive information. Services are compliant with Ontario’s Privacy Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
